Michele Pizzo, Full Professor of Financial Accounting and Business Administration at the University of Campania - Luigi Vanvitelli, Chartered Accountant, is President of the OIC (Organismo Italiano di Contabilità) since June 2023 and member of the EFRAG Administrative Board.
He is also the Vice Chair of the OIBR Board (Organismo Italiano di Business Reporting), and Alternate Auditor at Generali Italia S.p.a. Michele Pizzo's extensive career includes roles such as President of the Audit Committee at Opel Financial Services, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Nova Re SIIQ S.p.a and member of the Audit Committees af e faw Eni subsidiaries, etc.
From 2008 to 2011, he acted as Consultant for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Italy.
He is President of the AIDEA (Accademia Italiana di Economia Aziendale) and Honorary Professor at Ukrainian Academy of Banking of The National Bank of Ukraine. He has published 10 books and several journal articles in top rated journals. His research interests embrace financial accounting, fair value accounting, bank regulation and practice, corporate governance and corporate sustainability.
