Micha has 18 years of audit and advisory experience in technical accounting topics. Micha is an expert in financial instruments accounting and valuation, hedging and treasury related topics. Micha is currently the head of the Global Head Accounting Centre at ING. Micha is responsible for hedge accounting policies, governance, setting requirements, providing hedge accounting trainings and providing insights in hedge accounting developments in-and outside ING. He is also representing ING in external industry groups on the field of hedge Accounting.
Before taking on his role at ING, Micha worked as an auditor within the financial services assurance practice at KPMG Netherlands where he dealt with a wide range of IFRS topics with a focus on financial instruments accounting.
Micha is also an active member of the EBF (European Banking Federation) Hedge Accounting Working Group.
Micha is a member of the Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA) and a qualified chartered accountant.
