Mark Clatworthy is Professor of Accounting at the University of Bristol. He completed his BSc and PhD in Accounting at Cardiff University. His research interests lie in the use of accounting information in capital markets and audit markets.
Mark is Joint Editor-in-Chief of Accounting and Business Research, and he sits on the editorial boards of European Accounting Review and Accounting in Europe. He is a member of the Research Advisory Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a past President of the European Accounting Association, and he has served on the Research Panel of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Academic Panel of the UK Financial Reporting Council.
He teaches advanced financial reporting and financial statement analysis across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and he has supervised several doctoral students in financial accounting.
